写真

Naoto Yano, inspired by traditional pottery, channels the essence of Karatsu through his own contemporary lens.

His works creatively reinterpret the historical pottery styles, such as Joseon Karatsu, Painted Karatsu, Black Karatsu, and White Porcelain, blending them with a modern sensibility.

Yano's Karatsu ceramics, filtered through his unique perspective, exude a clean and modern aesthetic that retains a strong sense of tradition.

"I aim to create with an awareness of anonymity," Yano says. True to his words, his pieces carry a simple, quiet elegance, prompting reflection on what is truly necessary in our daily lives.
