Tomoko Sakai creates unique pieces fired in an anagama kiln in Kagawa Prefecture.
She creates everyday utensils, tea utensils, flower vases, etc. with a focus on elegant porcelain and high-firing without glaze pottery that bring out the earthy texture.
It seems that her personality is reflected in her works, where you can feel strength in stillness.

after studying at the Bizen Pottery Center in Okayama Prefecture.

- Did anagama fired pottery in Kagawa Prefecture.

- Moved to Suzaka City, Nagano Prefecture.
- 2016
- Returned to Kagawa Prefecture to fire clay.
Currently done firing, and is focused on making hakuji pottery.
