Teppei Terada is the 5th generation of Bizan Pottery that has been in operation for over 130 years,
in Seto, one of Japan's leading pottery areas, and works mainly with Oribe type pottery.
His vase is hand building and carbonized fired, giving it a storng feel as if it look like it was dug out of the earth.
It has a wonderful rough texture that is unique to high-firing without glaze, which brings out the texture of the earth.
