Yamahon Toubo
Artist : Tadamasa Yamamoto
Material : Iga clay
Area : Iga Mie Japan
The Iga region, which was once located at the bottom of Lake Biwa, is blessed with high-quality potter's clay that is both heat-resistant and heat-retaining.
Yamahon Tobo's earthenware pots, which are made only from Iga soil, are excellent because they slowly cook the ingredients and bring out their flavor.
Once heated, the earthenware pot retains heat well, so you can serve it hot even if you put it on the table.
If you use it, it will get crack-like pattern is called “Kan-nyuu” in Japanese, but if you continue to use it, the cracks will close up and you will have a strong pot.
This earthenware pot is a pleasure to keep using.
