A life of true relaxation,
rain or shine.

Amehare is a brand that envisions and creates truly comfortable living for modern Japanese lifestyles, together with all of you. The sound of raindrops falling on cobblestones brings a sense of comfort. A glimpse of blue skies through a window fills the heart with serenity.

For centuries, Japanese people have lived in harmony with nature, nurturing the wisdom and sensibilities needed to coexist with it. Some traditions are lovingly preserved in their original form. Others are reimagined to blend seamlessly with contemporary life.

By selecting, honoring, and incorporating these elements, we aspire to create a daily life where you can truly relax, from the heart. For rainy days and sunny days alike.

Gather, converse, and share a meal.

People, food, and tableware— each comes together at the dining table to create a mealtime experience. We offer tools for dining that naturally spark conversation, and effortlessly bring smiles to the table.

The art of hospitality, shared over tea time.

Hosting others. Caring for yourself. Boil water in a cast-iron kettle, let it cool to the perfect temperature. Brew the tea slowly, savor it in your favorite cup. We provide tea tools that warm both body and soul.

Nature as the accompaniment, a moment for sake.

Just as we enjoy the moon during tsukimi or blossoms during hanami, savoring sake while appreciating nature makes it all the more delightful. We offer sake tools designed to enhance your experience, as you embrace the changing seasons with every sip.

When did we start to avoid the rain,
even though we depend on its blessings for life?

Rain on asphalt feels different from rain on soil.
For many, the latter is far more comforting.

In our overly convenient modern world,
we are losing the wisdom and sensibilities needed to live in harmony with nature.
Perhaps Japanese craftsmanship is the embodiment of those values.

The artisans we’ve met at Amehare are deeply connected to their surroundings,
working earnestly with natural materials to create,
all while cherishing and enjoying daily life.

Their way of living offers profound insights into what it means to live well.

We hope Amehare can be a space where we explore, together,
what truly comfortable living means for us as Japanese people.
