MERIDIANI × AMART "my ART is ME"

MERIDIANI × AMART "my ART is ME"
Founded in 1996 in Brianza, a region in northern Milan, Italy renowned for its furniture, the interior brand MERIDIANI is approaching its 30th anniversary. Ahead of this milestone, the brand opened its first monobrand store in Japan in Minami-Aoyama in 2025. True to its Italian heritage, MERIDIANI excels in the use of fabrics and leathers, taking pride in its high manufacturing capabilities and masterful material curation. The brand's philosophy is guided by its founder Renato Crosti, who built his career as a furniture craftsman, and his wife, Laura Ferraro Crosti. We are delighted to announce an upcoming event where the worldview of MERIDIANI resonates with the creations of five Japanese artists. During the exhibition, in addition to MERIDIANI furniture, you will have the opportunity to purchase artworks by these five remarkable Japanese artists. Please enjoy this collaboration of art and interior design, which exudes a profound joy within tranquility.

About MERIDIANI
MERIDIANI offers contemporary collections that naturally blend into any space. The brand name derives from the Italian word for "meridians". Its defining characteristic is treating the home as "clothing to be worn," dressing simple forms in high-quality materials. The brand's ethos lies in timeless interiors that feel modest yet rich. With founder Renato Crosti's expertise continually inspired by his wife Laura Ferraro Crosti, MERIDIANI has expanded across Italy and to over 50 countries worldwide over the past 30 years. We invite you to experience the pride of 100% "Made in Italy" manufacturing.
YUKO IKEDA (Ceramics)
https://www.instagram.com/yuko_ikeda_pottery/
Yuko Ikeda's art and objects evoke scenes of the ocean right before your eyes.
Sometimes like rough waves, other times like a calm sea. The expressions that shift alongside her emotions raise our expectations. Based in Osaka and Tokushima.
YUKA ANDO (Ceramics)
https://www.instagram.com/yukaando/
Drawn to the beauty of the sky expanding in her memory, Yuka Ando projects deep gradations onto her vases and objects. The neat lines of her works interact with one another to create a comforting space. Based in Hyogo.
IKUMI MATSUMOTO (Ceramics)

What catches the eye in Matsumoto's atelier is an art book about the Silk Road.
Looking at her works filled with longing for foreign lands makes you feel as if you are traveling through time and space.
Based in Shiga.
MARINA YONETSU (Glass)
https://www.instagram.com/marina_yonetsu/
Sculptural works that emerge by shattering her own creations and carefully layering the fragments one by one.
The absence residing in these newly born forms seems to reveal the fragile yet beautiful process of natural objects decaying. Based in Osaka.
MIKIKO KAYAMA (Calligraphy)
https://www.instagram.com/mikiko.kayama_sho/
Mikiko Kayama takes up her brush with an anticipation for the profound boundaries born in the margins between "foil" and "calligraphy".
The gentleness, vulnerability, and slight toxicity oozing from her characters remind us of the beauty of a precious life precisely because it is imperfect. Based in Kyoto.
