Effective July 1, 2026, changes to the European Union (EU) customs regulations will apply to shipments valued under €150 destined for EU member states. As a result, these shipments may now be subject to customs duties.
If you wish to have your order shipped to an EU member state, please review the following information before placing your order.
Changes to the Customs Regulations
The new customs regulations apply to B2C (business-to-consumer) shipments valued under €150 that are dispatched to EU member states on or after July 1, 2026.
Shipments that were previously exempt from customs duties may now be subject to a flat customs duty of €3 per HS code, in addition to VAT (Value Added Tax) and other applicable import fees.
Please note that the final amount of customs duties, taxes, and any applicable fees will be determined by the customs authorities in the destination country.
Shipping Methods
DHL
The payment method for customs duties, VAT, customs clearance fees, and other applicable charges varies depending on the shipping conditions and customs procedures.
Where applicable, these charges may be billed by DHL to either the recipient or the shipper.
EMS (Express Mail Service)
Customs duties, VAT, customs clearance fees, and other applicable charges may be collected by the destination country's postal operator or customs authority at the time of delivery.
If such charges apply, they are the responsibility of the recipient.

- Customs duties, taxes, and customs clearance fees vary depending on the destination country and the contents of your shipment.
- If your order contains items classified under multiple HS codes, customs duties may be calculated separately for each HS code.
- If customs duties, taxes, or other applicable fees are not paid and the shipment is returned to Japan, the customer may be responsible for the round-trip shipping costs and any related return charges.
- Customs duties charged on B2C shipments are generally non-refundable, even if the shipment is returned.
