24-SG-2 Daisetsu Kakejiku with hand colored
Artist : Shouya Grigg
Material : Washi (Japanese paper)
Area : Kutchan Towan, Hokkaido Prefecture
Dimensions : approx. W370 × H1170 mm
The artwork, featuring a photograph of Mount Yotei captured by Shouya, is printed on washi paper and rendered solely in shades of black and white. It evokes the quiet depth of a traditional sumi-e painting.
Standing before Shouya’s work, one is gently reminded of the essence of wabi-sabi and our connection with nature—treasures of Japanese culture that are all too easily forgotten.
This is a one-of-a-kind piece, meticulously hand-retouched by the artist himself.
