Shimoo Design is unit artist by Kazuhiko Shimoo and Saori Shimoo.

The attractive "Japanese" culture and aesthetics that suit modern life are reflected in the woodworking furniture and works of art that the artists create.

Fuyou is a series of beautiful wooden crafts whose grains rise above the surface.
This technique is originated by Shimoo Design.

After the grain of the wood is brought to the surface by cutting away the summer grain and leaving the winter grain, the natural scene is depicted like an ink painting, with images of mountains and rivers.
This wall-hanging work is expressed using Jindai zelkova, which has been in the ground for more than 1,000 years.
