●25-YM-17 Hoin Small Tea Bowl

Artist : Yuichi Murakami
Material : Porcelain
Area : Toki, Gifu Prefecture
Dimensions : Approx.Φ60× H45 mm
Created through extensive research with the aim of enhancing the tea’s inherent richness and natural sweetness, Hōin is a vessel finished with a glaze born from an unceasing spirit of exploration.
When you brew tea in this piece, it allows you to savor the lingering depth of flavor and aroma that the tea leaves inherently possess.
This piece is characterized by its dynamic, unique appearance, created during firing, a process known as yohen. The marks left on the base, known as tsumeyaki, are made by small clay bits added during firing to prevent the piece from sticking to the kiln shelf. Its weathered, antique-like wabi-sabi aesthetic evokes a sense of nostalgia.
- Each piece is handmade, so there may be slight variations in color, shape, and size from the photos. We hope you enjoy these differences as part of the unique character of each item.
