Yuichi Murakami, a promising young ceramic artist based in Toki, Gifu Prefecture, works with a variety of materials, including pottery, porcelain, and semi-porcelain, to create a diverse range of tableware.

His pieces include avant-garde, kiln-altered indigo bronze plates, and elegant white porcelain with a refined, crisp presence. He also creates functional Koryo and Kohiki ware, designed to beautifully showcase food.

Murakami, who enjoys using his own creations in daily life, crafts tableware that not only feels good in the hand but also enhances the beauty of the dishes served on them.
