This chopstick rest is an AMAHARE-exclusive revival of a classic piece originally created by Yuichi Takemata. Reissued especially for this exhibition, it features a refined, understated presence—compact in size, with a simple, elegant form.
Over time, the brass takes on a rich, subdued patina, allowing you to enjoy the natural transformation of the material. Tiny pores on the surface, a result of the casting process, are part of its unique character.
The subtle shadows along its edges catch the light gently at the dining table.
While designed as a chopstick rest, it also serves beautifully as a rest for both chopsticks and Western cutlery.
