This piece has a bold, refined presence that approaches the essence of ceramics. At first glance, it may appear to be “ceramic,” but, true to its name, it is crafted from porcelain.
The subtle cobalt blue spreads across the simple clay surface, with beautiful gradations of color that create a sense of depth the more you look at it.
The bold brush marks along the rim enhance the piece’s presence. This substantial plate is ideal for serving main dishes, such as meat or fish.
- Each piece is handmade, so there may be slight variations in color, shape, and size from the photos. We hope you enjoy these differences as part of the unique character of each item.
- This piece is crafted by mixing porcelain clay with chamotte (a coarse powder made from fired ceramics). While it has the appearance of ceramic, it is essentially porcelain and thus rarely absorbs liquids. Therefore, pre-treatment such as boiling in rice water is unnecessary.
- The piece is microwave-safe. However, please avoid using it over direct flame, in the oven, or in the dishwasher.
- After use, wash with a soft sponge and mild detergent. To prevent mold and odors, ensure it is thoroughly dried in a well-ventilated area before storing.
