Hanako Nakazato creates pottery between her two studios in Karatsu, Japan, and Maine, USA.
The sense of open space in her work invites us to reflect on and take pleasure in our everyday lives.
The Double Lip, with a rim that appears to layer two vessels, is one of Hanako Nakazato’s signature forms.
Overlapping edges create subtle shadows and an airy silhouette, bringing a playful touch to a simple design.
