Nobuhiko Tanaka’s signature series, "Iro no Utsuwa" (Vessels of Color), is characterized by a beautiful world of expression created through the sophisticated interplay of various hues.
The way the colors layer and bleed into one another is unique to each piece, reminiscent of an abstract painting.
While its primary role as a tea tool is a water jar (mizusashi) to replenish the kettle, its versatile beauty also makes it an ideal flower vase for seasonal blooms.

Care Instructions
To ensure a long-lasting and comfortable experience with our Utsuwa, please note the following:
Stain Removal: With long-term use, surface staining may occur. As this work is made of porcelain, residue does not penetrate the material itself. You may safely use kitchen bleach to restore its original beauty.
Caring for the Surface: The matte glaze has a delicate texture. Please be aware that metal cutlery may leave dark marks (metal marks) if rubbed strongly against the surface. If you are sensitive to the sound or sensation of metal on matte glaze, we recommend using wooden cutlery for a gentler experience.
Preparation: While this piece possesses the warm texture of earthenware, it is crafted from porcelain and has minimal water absorption. There is no need for initial seasoning, such as boiling in rice water (Medome), before use.
Heat and Temperature:
This piece is microwave-safe (Lid: × / Body: ○).
However, please do not use it over an open flame or in an oven.
Due to the delicate, thin-walled construction, rapid temperature changes may cause cracks. When serving extremely hot food in a cold vessel, we recommend warming the piece slightly with a small amount of warm water beforehand.
Dishwasher Use: To prevent chipping or damage from contact with other items, we recommend hand-washing and avoiding the use of dishwashers.
