Ikeda-san continues her practice as a ceramic artist, while her background also includes a career as a graphic designer, where she cultivated a refined sense of composition and expression.
As someone who has long appreciated the art of tea, her creative work has naturally expanded from tea bowls to tea scrolls.

Created under the theme of “A Small Sea,” this work features bold, dynamic brushstrokes alongside motifs reminiscent of seashells and waves.
Within it, fragments of memories from time spent by the shore appear to unfold as a quiet and contemplative scene.

The soft uguisu-green textile harmonizes beautifully not only with traditional Japanese interiors, but also with contemporary spaces, adding a subtle touch of color to everyday surroundings.
Paired with Ikeda-san’s objets, which evoke a beach softened by water and stones carried ashore by the waves, the work allows you to create your own personal vision of a “Small Sea.”
