Atsushi Funakushi creates his ceramics in Kasama, Ibaraki.
At first glance, his work may seem to transcend national boundaries, yet its quiet presence reveals a distinctly Japanese sensibility—one that finds beauty in simplicity.
This piece, with its refined form stripped of excess, commands attention through its dignified stillness.
It stands beautifully on its own as an object, or can be used to hold flowers.
*While the interior of this piece has been treated to hold water, due to the nature of ceramic, moisture may gradually seep through or cause condensation if water is left inside for an extended period.
When placing it on furniture or flooring, we recommend using a protective mat or tray.
*Each piece is handmade, and there may be slight variations in color, shape, and size from the photos. We hope you enjoy these differences as part of the unique character of each item.
This piece is also sold in our physical store. We will check stock availability after you place your order, and in case of a stock shortage, we will notify you via email. Thank you for your understanding.
