Yuichi Takemata “A Spoon That Cannot Be Used”
¥7,700
“There is a single spoon here.”
It is said to be a spoon used some 700 years ago, excavated from the bed of a river in the Netherlands. It holds little artistic value, and its practical role ended long ago. Rusted, weathered, and no longer usable—spoons and knives like this have gathered in my hands over time. Originally, they served as materials for learning how things were made.
