The season has arrived when the gentle sound of raindrops falling from the heavens resonates deep within the soul.
KYO AMAHARE is proud to present an exhibition by Yukiko Tsuchiya, who creates ceramics in Karatsu, Saga, while listening to the very breath of the earth.
The exhibition features her signature "Kuro Karatsu," possessing a quiet yet profound strength; "Ama Oto," where serene gradations dance upon the Ustuwa like falling rain; and "Akane Karatsu," which evokes the fleeting beauty of a darkening twilight sky.
We have curated a selection of works designed to "adorn" your daily life and "moisten" the passing hours.
On the opening day, we will host a special Tea Ceremony titled "Ama Oto," where Yukiko-san herself will join us to welcome guests.
Whether it be a day of rain or a day of sun, we sincerely look forward to welcoming you to the exhibition and the ceremony.

Tea Ceremony "Ama Oto"
In conjunction with Yukiko Tsuchiya's exhibition, Sabo KYO will host a special Tea Ceremony titled "Ama Oto."
Within the storehouse, where faint light filters through the shadows and the silence is embraced by the sound of rain, we invite you to a moment of "hospitality." Using Ustuwa and tea utensils crafted by Yukiko-san, we celebrate a once-in-a-lifetime encounter. The artist herself will join the seating, making this a truly exceptional occasion.
We invite you to savor the unique atmosphere and the specially curated menu, available only on this day and in this sanctuary.
