"Chinese Tea for a Chilly "Tsuyu" Rainy Day"
As ”Tsuyu”, the rainy season, settles in, many of us find ourselves feeling a little more sensitive than usual.
At times like these, there is something especially comforting about slowing down, pouring hot water, and taking a quiet moment with Chinese tea.
Among AMAHARE's customers, many have discovered the world of Chinese tea through an appreciation of beautiful tea ware.
There is a saying in Japanese, “Start with the form.” A beautifully crafted object can be the beginning of a lifelong appreciation.
New Chinese tea ware by Yuichi Murakami has arrived at AMAHARE.
The collection will be available online from June 19 (Fri) at 6:00 PM (JST). Prior to the online release, the works can be viewed at AMAHARE Shirokanedai.
This collection features four different tea pots, each with its own distinct character.
Some evoke the organic forms of branches and vines, while others carry a subtle Western sensibility or a softly rounded presence.
From the way each piece fits comfortably in the hand to the rich expressions created by the glazes.
We invite you to take the time to explore and compare their unique qualities.
Also featured are tea scoops and tea caddies by Toru Hatsuta, Washi boards by Wataru Hatano, and trays by Shimoo Design. Whether scooping tea leaves, arranging vessels, or serving tea, these carefully crafted objects enrich each gesture and deepen the experience of tea.
We hope you will enjoy discovering tea ware and tea utensils that accompany and enrich these quiet moments at AMAHARE.
