Wataru Hatano began his journey into the world of Japanese paper after completing his apprenticeship in the art of papermaking in Ayabe, Kyoto—the home of traditional Kurotani Washi.

Driven by a desire to share the profound allure of Washi with a wider audience, he creates works that bridge the worlds of art and craft, while offering innovative ways to integrate Washi into contemporary interior spaces.

His creations are characterized by a soft, delicate palette that envelops a room in a gentle atmosphere, quietly easing the mind of those within. The natural layering of colors and the unique, tactile texture of the paper reveal different expressions with every glance, inviting a moment of stillness and deep contemplation.

*Since the product is made of natural materials, please do not install it in a place where it will be extremely dry or exposed to direct sunlight. It may cause damage or discoloration.
