Wakuta-yaki, a traditional pottery style produced around 400 years ago in what is now the Izumizaki area of Naha City.
Many old Okinawan ceramics possess a simplicity and modernity that seem almost ahead of their time, serving as a source of inspiration and spiritual support for Miyagi in his own pursuit of refined vessels.
This piece is recommended as a small plate for serving side dishes.
As these items are handmade, there may be individual differences in size, shape, glaze application, and color, and they may differ from the photographs.
When serving hot dishes, we recommend pre-wetting the item with warm water; when serving cold dishes, pre-wet with cold water before use.
