The polyhedral form that Mr. Murakami describes as his “beloved hexagon.”
A shape of luminous beauty—even in shadow—
the hexagon has long been associated with celebratory occasions, as seen in traditional kikkō (tortoise shell) patterns.
Inspired by the rhombus motif of the Amahare logo,
this refined form was chosen with the dignity of the hexagon in mind—
a shape often seen in the sacred architecture of shrines and temples.
The result is this quietly striking design.
We offer the tea bowls and saucers as a set of four.
Perfect for sharing peaceful tea moments with family and friends, day after day.
The saucers may also be used as small plates, and the bowls as serving dishes—
each piece serving beautifully in more than one way.
