"abyss" was born from a vision of glassware resting on the ocean floor for eternity alongside a sunken ship. Working with glass—a material that does not age—Tsujino created this piece out of a deep longing for things that change over time.

After an extensive and intricate process, the final work emerges, embodying a delicate balance between weathered decay and the inherent brilliance of glass. It evokes the image of a lost relic shimmering in a stray beam of light on the seabed.

The decayed texture beautifully complements the vibrant colors of tea leaves. Within the flowing movements of a tea ceremony, even the unique tactile sensation of the glass becomes part of the "landscape" to be savored.

Each of Takeshi Tsujino’s works is a one-of-a-kind piece, handcrafted individually.
