●25-IM57 Painted Grayware Jar – Traveler
Number : F01003
Artist : Ikumi Matsumoto
Material : Pottery Clay
Size : approx. Φ320mm H430mm
From west to east, the Silk Road traced a vast and enduring path.
This jar was inspired by fragments of memory left behind—cave temple scenes, weathered murals, and sacred architecture glimpsed along the way.
The grayware surface, grand and still, has the textured presence of aged mural clay.
Brushwork sweeps across it in flowing color, as if ancient prayers were gently breathing through time.
This vessel holds the echoes of past prayers and the cultural traces of long journeys—
a quiet, enduring record of beauty.
