The Ryureishiki style tea ceremony (chair-style tea ceremony), which was specially arranged to welcome foreign visitors to the exhibition held in 1872, was created in step with the modernization of Japan from the end of the Edo period to the Meiji period.

Shimoo Design's Ryurei-joku (a set of tea service tables and chairs) fits comfortably into modern living spaces. This Ryurei-joku allows anyone to easily enjoy the tea ceremony without being constrained by strict styles or formats. The tables and chairs feature a nesting design, allowing them to be stored compactly when not in use. It is highly recommended not only for seasoned tea ceremony practitioners but also for those who wish to start casually or entertain friends and guests. It also includes a designated space to place an IH heater for the tea kettle.

This is a one-of-a-kind craft, beautifully finished to make the best use of the unique characteristics of the wood, such as its natural grain and knots.
The exquisite carvings on the sides create an impressive and elegant presence.

*Please note that all pieces are individually handmade. As a result, the color, shape, and size of the work you receive may vary slightly from the photographs. Please appreciate and enjoy these differences as the unique character of each individual piece.

*IH heater is not included.
