How to Brew
- Measure the tea leaves: Use 5g–8g (a slightly heaped teaspoon) for 2–3 servings. For a single serving, about 3g is sufficient.
- Warm the teapot: Pour a small amount of boiling water into the teapot to heat it.
- Warm the teacups: Pour the hot water from the teapot into the teacups to warm them.
- Add the tea leaves: Place the measured tea leaves into the teapot and cover with the lid.
- Pause and breathe: Take 1–2 deep breaths to appreciate the moment.
- Enjoy the aroma: Remove the teapot lid and savor the fragrance of the leaves.
- Prepare the hot water: Use the warm water from the teacups as a palate-cleansing sip, then refill the cups with water up to 70–80% full (around 80°C). Let it sit for 30 seconds.
- Pour water into the teapot: Transfer the water from the teacups into the teapot.
- Steep the tea: Allow it to steep for 30–45 seconds.
- Pour and serve: Distribute the tea evenly between cups, ensuring you pour out every last drop.
Relish the floral notes of chamomile, the spiciness of sansho, and the deep umami of Manryoku tea in perfect harmony.
For Additional Infusions
- Second Brew: Refill the teapot immediately with water from the teacups and steep for about 1 minute. Enjoy a lighter, yet fragrant, infusion at around 80°C.
- Third Brew: Add a suitable amount of boiling water for a light, clean taste.
Enjoy a relaxing moment with this refreshing and aromatic tea.
